Your responsibilities will involve challenging various departments within the organization, including the actuarial, financial, and risk management teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Reserves Assessment: Evaluate the adequacy of technical reserves, both under BGAAP and Solvency 2, as well as the models (assets and liabilities) and associated quantities.

  • Data Assessment and Validation: Assess data quality and calibrations, and conduct quarterly validation of results to ensure accuracy.

  • Policy Evaluation: Analyze and assess the acceptance policy, with a focus on profitability analysis, product pricing, and adjustments to existing products.

  • Profit Sharing and Reinsurance: Review and advise on profit sharing and rebate policies, as well as evaluate the adequacy of reinsurance arrangements.

  • Risk Management Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of the risk management system by modeling the underlying risks for SCRs, USP, and ORSA calculations.

  • Independent Analysis: Perform independent analysis on critical actuarial subjects of major importance, providing valuable advice and validation reports to relevant departments and management.

Experience Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Hold a diploma as an actuary or possess a master's degree in a science or mathematics-related field.

  • Insurance Experience: Have relevant experience in the field of insurance or Asset and Liability Management (ALM).

  • Bilingual Communication: Fluent communication skills in both Dutch and French, both written and spoken.

  • Analytical Mindset: Demonstrate a sharp critical and analytical mind, capable of translating complex figures and abstract analyses into actionable insights.

  • Team Player: Be dynamic, proactive, and collaborative, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; specific computer skills such as R, Python, SAS, or others are a plus.
