Credit Officer Hedge Funds

We are currently working on behalf of a leading universal bank in Frankfurt, who is looking to add a Credit Officer to their NBFI team. The analyst will cover a broad international portfolio of hedge funds, and will quickly present decisions to the credit committee.

- Optimizing the risk outcome and risk quality of the person within the decision area
- Ensuring a balanced risk and earnings orientation
- Independent analysis of the individual financial and economic conditions of individual addresses and borrower units (annual financial statements in the current international accounting guidelines, trends, in particular forward-looking [financial] key figures analysis) and decision-making taking the relevant segmentation criteria into account on a case-by-case basis
- Participation in obtaining information about the customer, as well as about the current sector development/influence of the sector segment to be responsible, including through regular activities
- Consistent risk-sensitive and policy-compliant rating setting, if applicable overruling
- Task-related advice and support to the market side as part of the exposure discussion and relationship strategy to the hedge funds
- Review the contract documentation and ensure the implementation of the decision, in particular in terms of regulations, policy and strategy
- Risk identification and early detection, perception of risk signals Risk classification (situational) in dialog with other COs to ensure a consistent, understandable credit policy
- Consideration of portfolio objectives and obligation to provide information to his/her superior function regarding process faults, problem cases, more significant individual case decisions
- Coordination of relevant interfaces and professional exchange with the hedge funds
- University degree in a relevant subject
- 2+ years of experience in bank-side credit processing of credit exposures in the field of hedge funds
- Experience in the performance and risk assessment and operation of hedge funds
- Language Skills: English fluent (C1+)
