Risk Insurance Consultant

JCW is currently seeking a Consultant to join their Risk Advisory Team. As a Consultant, you will provide expert advice and assistance to insurance clients in various areas, including actuarial and risk modelling, process automation, regulatory compliance (Solvency II, ICS, CSRD), market and liquidity risk, internal models, climate change risk management, data quality management, and quantitative modelling.

You will collaborate closely with clients and partners, surrounded by seasoned experts, to develop bespoke solutions for complex business cases, enhancing your technical skills and entrepreneurial spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert, business, or functional analyst in various insurance risk domains (e.g., SII, ALM, ORSA).

• Analyze and interpret complex risk regulations.

• Re-engineer actuarial and risk management processes.

• Act as a liaison between business parties and the technical team, translating business requirements into detailed specifications for IT.

• Update and enhance risk management policies and procedures.

• Implement various risk models, tools, and solutions.

• Develop and automate risk and regulatory reporting.

• Proactively suggest tailored solutions, considering the client’s environment and regulatory compliance capacity.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

• Participate in business development initiatives or internal projects.

• Enhance Finalyse’s presence in the financial industry through publications, external conferences, and networking events.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics/Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. A degree in Actuarial Science/Statistics is a plus.

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the insurance sector or financial industry.

• Affinity with programming languages such as SQL, SAS, R, Python, MatLab, or willingness to develop these skills.

• Knowledge of actuarial tools like Prophet or Axis is a plus.

• Proficiency in English and knowledge of either French or Dutch.
