JCW is currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing and innovative specialty insurer is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join their Environmental Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with company guidelines, applying sound underwriting judgment.
- Collaborate with wholesale brokers to manage and grow a profitable book of business.
- Maintain strong business relationships, develop new opportunities, and retain existing accounts.
- Review and assess risks, including General Liability, Pollution Liability, Business Auto, and Excess Liability for diverse risks.
- Mentor and share expertise with junior underwriters.
- Continuously improve knowledge through work experience, industry courses, and certifications.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of current underwriting experience, preferably in environmental insurance.
- Background in environmental science or related field is a plus.
