Senior Cloud Engineer

We're Hiring: Senior Contract Engineer (Azure) | London | Contract (Until End of 2025) | Umbrella Only

We're looking for a Senior Contract Engineer with strong experience in Azure environments to join a leading tech team based in London on a contract basis through an umbrella company, running until the end of the year.

You’ll play a critical role in designing, deploying, and managing scalable, secure cloud solutions – especially focused on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and infrastructure automation.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Azure Environment Setup & Configuration
– Design and optimize resource groups, VNets, NSGs, and peering
– Implement governance, security, tagging, and cost controls

🔹 AVD Deployment & Management
– Deploy scalable AVD environments integrated with Azure AD
– Optimize session host performance and user experience

🔹 Security & Compliance
– Enforce IAM, RBAC, encryption, and policy best practices
– Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards

🔹 CI/CD & Automation
– Build and maintain pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
– Collaborate closely with dev teams on efficient cloud delivery

🔹 Monitoring & Troubleshooting
– Set up monitoring (Azure Monitor, Advisor, 3rd-party tools)
– Lead incident resolution and proactive performance improvements

🔹 Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
– Document architectures and handover processes
– Support internal training and mentoring

What We're Looking For:

✅ Strong hands-on Azure experience
✅ Deep knowledge of AVD, security, and CI/CD pipelines
✅ Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Architect) – preferred
✅ Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
✅ Familiarity with ITIL and enterprise support processes
