Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Business Support Officer to join our team in Brussels. In this role, you will support various banking operations, including Payments Operations, Cash Management, Trade Finance Operations (TFO), and Guarantees. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in the banking sector, with a strong understanding of operational processes, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Support: Assist in the daily operations of Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance Operations, and Guarantees, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
- Coordination and Documentation: Handle documentation, reports, and internal communications related to various banking operations, ensuring all records are up to date and properly filed.
- Client Communications: Independently manage written and verbal communication with clients, partners, and internal teams, addressing queries and resolving operational issues promptly and professionally.
- Transaction Monitoring: Monitor and process payments, cash flow activities, and trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and suggest improvements to operational processes to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and ensure timely service delivery.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing reports, data analysis, and presentations for management and relevant departments, contributing to operational planning and decision-making.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with the bank’s policies, regulations, and risk management frameworks, and report any discrepancies or issues as they arise.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with various internal departments, including finance, risk, and operations, to ensure seamless coordination of banking services and support.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-6 years of experience in banking operations, specifically in Payments, Cash Management, Trade Finance Operations (TFO), and/or Guarantees.
- Banking Knowledge: Strong understanding of the bank’s operational processes, including payments, cash management, trade finance, and guarantees.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle client communications independently and effectively.
- Administrative Skills: Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and diligence in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving mindset, capable of identifying issues and proactively offering solutions.
- Technology Proficiency: Good command of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with banking software systems.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.

- Reports to the Head of Operations, Belgium.
