Developer/Analyst - High Frequency Trading

Our client, a prestigious high-frequency proprietary trading firm with offices globally, is looking to hire a talented Developer/Analyst to join their dynamic team in the Netherlands. This exciting opportunity will see you working directly with the Head of Operations to drive efficiencies and build innovative solutions for their global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Development: Collaborate with the Operations team to develop desk-level automations, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of day-to-day operations.
• Business & Technical Requirements: Work closely with the Post Trade engineering teams to ensure clear understanding and delivery of business and technical requirements.
• Reporting Solutions & Data Analysis: Design and develop reporting tools, leveraging advanced data analytics techniques to monitor performance against KPIs/KRIs.
• Ownership of Products & Tools: Take full responsibility for products and tools maintained by the Operations team across global offices.
• Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders to understand evolving business needs and continuously improve tools and systems to meet these requirements.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• A degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• At least 2 years of experience in software development or business analytics.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, automation, and tool development. Experience with Java is a plus.
• Experience with SQL and relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., ELK, MongoDB) is a bonus.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Familiarity with global electronic trading is an advantage but not required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
