We are looking for a experienced Electrical Planning Engineer to join a leading global Engineering services business. This role offers the flexibility of remote work from anywhere in Germany or Switzerland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with in-depth knowledge and experience in the grid sector and its key players.
About
- Design HV cable routes and substations (50kV+), including voltage calculations and grid integration.
- Create layouts and technical designs using AutoCAD, working closely with technicians.
- Collaborate with DSOs and TSOs, leveraging an in-depth understanding of grid systems and standards.
- Utilize your network to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with international teams and support projects in the UK, Switzerland, and Germany
Key Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in HV design, grid systems, and substation projects.
- Fluent in German and proficient in English.
- Solid understanding of grid requirements, with at least 2 years of experience working with DSOs or TSOs in the DACH Region.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design tools.
- Strong network in the energy sector, with the ability to develop new business.
- Flexibility to work remotely, with monthly visits to Frankfurt, Zurich, or Austria.
