About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Lines Underwriter to join our Zurich-based team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial lines products, including Directors & Officers (D&O) liability, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber insurance. Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite new and renewal business in line with company guidelines and risk appetite.
• Assess risk exposure and provide accurate pricing to maintain a profitable portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of insurance policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and review market trends to support product development and enhance underwriting strategies.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and legal teams to manage and mitigate risks effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members (for senior roles).

Requirements:

• Language: Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken).
• Strong knowledge of financial lines products (D&O, PI, Cyber, Crime, etc.).
• Prior underwriting experience in financial lines is preferred, but we are open to candidates with a strong background in insurance or related fields.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to assess complex risks.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to develop long-term relationships with clients and brokers.
• A proactive mindset with a keen interest in market trends and product innovation.
• Relevant educational background (degree in finance, insurance, business, or a related field).
