Head of Revenue
Location: Remote
Client: Legal, Corporate, and Fiduciary Services Sector
In line with my client’s growth strategy, the Head of Revenue will lead revenue management across the business, focusing on optimizing working capital. Reporting to the Finance Director for Legal & Business Services, this role is essential to ensure efficient billing, credit control, and industry-standard WIP and debt management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee credit control and billing processes and teams to ensure efficiency and alignment with industry best practices
- Act as a single point of contact for executive-level reviews of WIP and debt balances
- Lead a global team of approximately 15 specialists focused on WIP and debt management
- Matrix-manage support staff involved in billing and credit control across other functions
- Implement and improve standardized global billing and credit control processes
- Collaborate with the Finance team for consistent and clear financial reporting
- Develop and maintain KPIs to track the efficiency of working capital management
- Manage relationships with external debt collection agencies
- Support fee earners with WIP and debt queries
- Promote a high standard of client service within the Finance function and beyond
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW) with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a law firm or professional services setting
- 3+ years of experience in managing and developing billing and credit control teams
- Proven ability to deliver accurate, decision-supporting reports and influence senior-level stakeholders
- Collaborative, client-focused approach with strong communication, organizational, and planning skills
- Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail
- Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement qualifications are a plus
