About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Life Reinsurance Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Zurich. In this role, you will manage the operational aspects of our life reinsurance business, ensuring seamless processes and compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced international environment and contribute to the growth and efficiency of our reinsurance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reinsurance Administration:

    • Manage reinsurance treaties, including processing cessions, claims, and premium calculations.
    • Maintain accurate records of reinsurance transactions and agreements.
    • Monitor and reconcile reinsurance accounts with cedents and retrocessionaires.
  • Operational Support:

    • Coordinate with internal teams, such as underwriting, finance, and actuarial, to ensure smooth operations.
    • Implement and enhance operational processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
    • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Data Management:

    • Maintain and validate reinsurance data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Support the development and maintenance of reinsurance databases and systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in life reinsurance operations or a similar role within the insurance/reinsurance industry.
  • Strong understanding of life reinsurance principles, treaties, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in reinsurance systems and tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of German or another language is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, international environment.
