Regional Commercial Surety Manager

JCW is currently working on behalf of a specialty global property and casualty insurance company who's looking to add a Regional Commercial Surety Manager. The Regional Commercial Surety Manager will oversee marketing, underwriting, and business development in an assigned territory to meet profitability goals. This role involves serving as the lead underwriter for commercial surety, supporting financial targets, and managing the surety portfolio. The position offers substantial underwriting authority to enhance customer experiences and regional service capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand the surety portfolio
• Manage profit and loss for the region
• Cultivate relationships with key surety brokers
• Underwrite and price new/renewal business responsibly
• Lead and develop a team of underwriters and associates
• Collaborate with colleagues to maximize surety capabilities and grow the customer base

Job Requirements:

• 10+ years of commercial surety experience
• Strong entrepreneurial, marketing, and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain broker relationships
• Willingness to travel up to 40%
