VP Reinsurance and Program Development

JCW is currently working on behalf of a growing MGA looking to add a strong VP of Reinsurance Programs. In this role you would be leading the creation and management of innovative insurance programs. This role is critical to the company's success, directly contributing to revenue and shaping the future of our portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Develop and expand a portfolio of commercial insurance programs from idea to launch
• Oversee the placement and negotiation of reinsurance treaties across property & casualty lines
• Work directly with reinsurance brokers, underwriters, and capacity partners to build strong relationships
• Lead the submission process, ensuring actuarial and underwriting teams have the right materials
• Collaborate across teams to execute new programs and drive results

Requirements

• 5+ years in the insurance industry (ideally from a reinsurance brokerage or program administrator)
• Proven experience bringing new programs to market in commercial P&C
• Deep understanding of reinsurance structures, capacity sourcing, and negotiations
• Ability to navigate relationships across brokers, MGAs, underwriters, and reinsurers
• Hands-on, execution-focused mindset—this is not just a strategy role, you will be in the weeds
