I am currently recruiting for a leading onshore developer of wind farms in Germany. They currently have over 45 wind farms in operation and growing. They are looking for a technical expert to conduct wind yield analysis and manage external consultants
• Conduct Wind Resource Assessments:
Perform wind resource assessments by analysing wind speed, direction, and seasonal patterns. You’ll use tools and models to identify optimal locations for wind turbines, ensuring maximum energy production potential.
• Analyse and Model Energy Production Data:
Develop and use predictive models to estimate the energy output of wind farms, taking into account variables such as wind variability, terrain, and turbine specifications. You’ll provide forecasts that help guide project planning and investment decisions.
• Monitor and Optimize Wind Farm Performance:
Track real-time and historical data from operational wind farms, identifying trends, inefficiencies, or underperformance. You’ll work closely with engineers to implement changes that enhance energy production and operational efficiency.
• Support Project Feasibility Studies and Economic Analysis:
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for prospective wind power projects. You’ll assess project costs, expected energy yield, payback periods, and environmental impacts to support decision-making on new wind installations.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Engineering Teams:
Work closely with environmental scientists, engineers, and regulatory experts to ensure that wind projects meet technical, environmental, and regulatory requirements. You’ll integrate data on environmental factors such as wildlife, noise, and visual impacts.
• Develop Reports and Data Visualizations:
Create detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders, from technical teams to non-technical management. You’ll ensure that insights from your analyses are accessible and actionable.
